In August, Partridges of Sloane Square is launching three new blended teas containing leaves grown at the Tregothnan Estate in Truro, Cornwall. This forms part of its campaign to offer sustainable alternatives to a wide range of its food and drink products.

Partridges English Breakfast Tea

£7.95 for 25 tea bags

Ingredients: Black Tea

Bold, malty, and rich, this English Breakfast tea is made with the widest variety of tea leaves ever grown in England, which are then blended with the finest Assam tea to create a truly English Breakfast Tea.

Partridges Earl Grey Tea

£7.95 for 25 tea bags

Ingredients: Black Tea, Bergamot Oil

A classic blend of Tregothnan English tea leaves with the finest Assam tea plus pure, natural Bergamot oil from sunny Calabrian orchards, created by the descendants of the Prime Minister Earl Grey.

Partridges Mr. Shepherd’s Blend

£7.95 for 25 tea bags

Ingredients: Black Tea

Carefully handcrafted for John Shepherd, the owner of Partridges, this blend is smooth and delicious. Plucked by the World's first solar-powered tea robot in the beautiful Tregothnan Tea Gardens in Cornwall and blended with the finest Glenburn Assam, it is the perfect brew for every time of day.

All three teas are exclusively blended by Tregothnan in Cornwall which has pioneered botanical firsts since 1334 and has been selling Britain's first UK grown tea since 2005. Typically, 20% of leaves from Glenburn in Assam are added to the Tregothnan leaves.

The teas are dairy-free, gluten-free, and suitable for vegetarians and vegans and the tea bags and packaging are 100% plastic free and compostable.

To brew English Breakfast and Mr. Shepherd’s Blend: use freshly boiled water cooled to approximately 95°C and infuse the tea bags for three to four minutes. To brew Earl Grey: use freshly boiled water cooled to approximately 85°C and infuse for three to four minutes.

John Shepherd, Owner of Partridges says... “We are absolutely thrilled to reintroduce our own range of Partridges teas, which now contain leaves grown in Cornwall and are blended in the UK. Over the last 50 years, we have championed many food and drink innovations and are proud to be partnering with the historic Tregothnan Estate to bring these delicious teas to our customers. We love the taste of the teas and hope you will brew up a cup and try them for yourselves.”
