Forget the faceless bottles gathering dust at the back of your cupboard, Proud Mary Extra Virgin Olive Oil refuses to blend into the background. This is EVOO with character: single press, single source, and bursting with bold, complex Turkish flavour. Think creamy richness with high notes of fresh grass, basil, and sun-ripened tomatoes, finished with a lingering buttery kiss.
The New Queen of the Kitchen Counter
Proud Mary isn’t just another olive oil, it’s a centrepiece, a conversation starter, and an ingredient that elevates every dish. Wrapped in a striking pink and gold tin, it seriously stands out on the shelf, but beyond the bold aesthetic lies a product with a serious flavour to savour.
Advertising industry veterans Calum Ward and Vikesh Amey Bhatt set out to disrupt the stale, traditional EVOO aisle, a sea of generic green labels and tired rustic imagery. “We wanted to create an olive oil that looked as good as it tasted,” says Calum. “Something that makes people excited to hold.”
The result? A modern classic with rock ’n’ roll spirit. The brand is inspired by ancient mysticism and musical rebellion, the design tells the legend of Proud Mary, the Divine Queen of Extra Virgin Rock ’n’ Roll, a mythical force whose guitar riffs made olive trees sway and fruit flourish.
Flavour First, Always
More than just a pretty tin, Proud Mary delivers where it matters most—on the plate. This is premium, small-batch olive oil, crafted for dipping, drizzling, and unapologetic over-pouring. “I’ve been drowning my food in olive oil for years,” says Vikesh. “Now, I finally have one that deserves it.”
Now Stocked in London’s Best Delis
Proud Mary is already making waves across London, now stocked at Selfridges, Eat17, Superette, Kitchen Provisions, and online via Delli. From Leyton to Liverpool, it’s fast becoming the EVOO of choice for chefs, home cooks, and anyone who refuses to settle for ordinary. The duo have recently paired with MasterChef Professional James Sharp on a content series for Instagram.
Next time you reach for olive oil, make it Proud Mary—because great dishes deserve it.
