As we enter the new financial year, Sea Change is proud to share its 2024 Impact Statement and celebrate a major milestone: reaching a total of €600,000 in donations towards ocean conservation since its launch. In 2024 alone, the brand raised over €143,000, supporting initiatives across marine conservation, grassroots engagement, and sustainable innovation.

 

Sea Change, an award-winning, ethically sourced, vegan and eco-friendly wine brand based in Surrey, has been making waves for marine conservation.

  • Impact was doubled through match funding, securing an additional £25,000+ for charity partners.

 

  • Carbon Commitment:

    • A 32% reduction in Scope 1 emissions compared to 2024 targets, driven by the transition to electric vehicles.

    • Comprehensive Scope 3 carbon reporting was introduced, demonstrating supply chain transparency.

    • Average carbon emissions per bottle have been reduced to 0.67 kg CO₂e per 75 cl bottle.

 

  • Supply Chain Responsibility: Sea Change collaborates closely with family-run wineries worldwide, holding partners to rigorous environmental and ethical standards through annual audits and a Supplier Charter.

 

  • Partner Charity Achievements:

    • Ocean Generation engaged over 24 million people globally in ocean education programmes — a 282% year-on-year increase.

 

  • Sea-Changers awarded 68 grassroots marine conservation grants across the UK.

 


Olive Ridley Project expanded its Photo-ID database to 6,875 individual sea turtles and opened a third rehabilitation centre in the Maldives.
