Counter Culture, the rebellious Bristol based kombucha brand known for its bold and alternative style and flavours is to launch Try Dry®. The zingy new flavour marks its partnership with Alcohol Change UK as the Official Kombucha of the Dry January® challenge, which sees people around the UK and the world take a 31-day break from alcohol at the start of each year.

Try Dry® seeks to celebrate the role of Alcohol Change UK’s Try Dry® app, which helps participants of the Dry January® challenge to track their dry days, calories and money saved throughout the month and double their chances of a fully alcohol-free 31days. Counter Culture’s new Try Dry flavour mirrors a bold yellow theme and teacup logo in the design. The organic recipe has a light and natural tangwith a citrus yuzu hit that appeals to those looking for an elevated lime and soda, while keeping a fun and sociable edge and appealing to both the soft drinks and non-alcoholic market.

In addition to providing an exciting new drink aimed at the growing sober or sober curious community, 5% of all sales from Try Dry® will go to Alcohol Change UK to support its vital work to tackle alcohol harm and help people reset their drinking habits – a financial commitment that aligns strongly to Counter Culture’s values.

So far, the brand has donated 51% of its shares to non-profit organisations and maintains an unrelenting goal to donate £1million as an entrepreneurial donation to the non-profit organisations they care about and have an affinity with. With an emphasis on giving back and bridging the divide between soft and alcoholic drinks, the registered B Corp kombucha brand and its partnership with Alcohol Change UK is a noticeably natural fit.

Founders Tom and Harry launched Counter Culture following a period of several months of not drinking. It was during this time that they discovered kombucha was taking the place of their alcohol intake and feeling fulfilled when drinking it. According to Alcohol Change UK, more than one in four (28%) Brits1 are planning to have an alcohol-free month in January 2025.
