The Royal Parks Half Marathon, presented by Royal Bank of Canada, has today announced leading natural nut butter brand, Pip & Nut, as a sponsor for this year’s race.

As part of the partnership, Pip & Nut’s brand-new range of peanut-butter-stuffed oat bars, made from the brand’s award-winning peanut butter and British oats, will become the official snack bar of this year’s race.

These new soft-baked snack bars are available in three flavours: Original, Chocolate, and Apple & Cinnamon, with each flavour made entirely from plant-based ingredients and packed full of fibre and protein.

16,000 runners are set to take part in this year’s race, with Pip & Nut in attendance to cheer on runners from the sidelines. Samples of the new range will be given to runners and spectators throughout the day from the bustling event village in Hyde Park.

Taking place on Sunday 13th October, the Royal Parks Half Marathon takes runners on a spectacular route through four of London’s iconic Royal Parks, including Hyde Park, The Green Park, St. James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.

Commenting on the partnership, Liz Tack, Head of Royal Parks Half Marathon said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have Pip & Nut on board as a partner for this year’s race. It’s so important to fuel correctly before taking on a half marathon and their bars and nut butters are perfect plant-based options to help get runners over the line on race-day.

We know that runners across the UK trust Pip & Nut to help fuel their training runs and gym sessions, so we’re thrilled to partner with them.”

Speaking on the partnership, Pip & Nut Founder, Pippa Murray, said:

“I’ve been wanting to partner with the Royal Parks Half Marathon for a long time, so I’m thrilled that it’s finally happening. I was inspired to start Pip & Nut when I was doing a lot of marathon training and eating lots of peanut butter on toast to fuel my running, so there is a really natural fit here. I can’t wait to introduce our new Peanut Butter Stuffed Oat Bars to all the runners and spectators on 13th October.”

There are still charity places available for this year’s Royal Parks Half; find a cause to run for at Run for a Charity | Half Marathon (royalparkshalf.com)
