Kyrö Distillery Company, the award-winning Finnish whisky, gin and cream liqueur brand that was famously founded by five friends in a sauna, has launched its core rye whisky range.
Crafted with unique distilling methods and flavour profiles true to Kyrö’s Finnish roots, Kyrö Distillery Company uses its Finnish staple ingredient of rye to introduce whisky lovers to a quartet that mixes up new and old. Encompass your tastebuds with Kyrö’s captivating flavours and evocative aromas.
The new core range includes ‘the whisky that started it all’, Kyrö Malt; alder smoked Kyrö Wood Smoke; the NEW sweet and nutty Kyrö Oloroso; and NEW earthy Kyrö Peat Smoke.
Whisky drinkers can bring the essence of Finnish culture into the comfort of their own home with these four premium, characterful whiskies that can be enjoyed neat, with ice, or used in cocktails.

Kyrö Malt – as rye as it gets: an ode to Finnish rye.
Award-winning* Kyrö Malt is a single batch rye whisky made from 100% malted rye. It is double pot distilled and aged in new American white oak casks for at least a three year period.
A characterful yet versatile single batch rye whisky that’s uncompromising but rewarding. Enjoy your Kyrö Malt as you wish; neat, with ice or in a cocktail.

Profile:Nose: Aromatic with vanilla, caramel, dried fruits and earthy rye.
Taste: Sweet rye bread, honey and wild berries with a peppery finish smoothed with mocha and caramel.
Kyrö Wood Smoke - all the rye with a touch of smoke.
Kyrö Wood Smoke is made from 100% Finnish rye and celebrates the Finnish tradition of using smoke both in sauna culture and cuisine.
Following an old northern tradition, the malt is alder smoked in a 100-year-old barn. It is double pot-distilled and matured in ex-bourbon, French oak, and new American white oak barrels, resulting in intense pepperiness and sweet notes of caramel and vanilla lifted by crisp alder smoke.

Nose: nuts, dried fruits and caramel.
Taste: Sweet rye bread, honey, raisins and nuts with a peppery finish. Non-smoky.
NEW: Kyrö Peat Smoke - the perfect mix between traditions.
Kyrö Peat Smoke combines the Finnish terrain with 100% Finnish Malted Rye that is smoked using Finnish freshwater peat. Vatted together using mainly Kyrö Peat Smoke New American oak and ex-bourbon barrels.
The full-grain rye malt is peat smoked in a barn for a period of 24-hours. This results in a distinctive mossy peaty flavour to the malt which is carried over to the spirit in our distillation process.

Nose: Mossy Peat, partly cooked apples, honey, promise of rye spice.
Taste: Sweetness of rye malt, hint of citrus, warm spice, wet smoke, beeswax in the finish
