Bread Ahead is delighted to announce the opening of its new bakery in the heart of Leicester Square, with doors opening on 11 December 2025. Launching as part of Market Place’s impressive new collection of eateries, this landmark site will introduce something entirely new for the brand: late night sourdough pizzas and freshly torched Crème Brûlée doughnuts served directly onto the Square until 10pm. Situated beside the celebrated Odeon Cinema, Bread Ahead’s newest location places its much-loved craft at the very centre of one of London’s most iconic and bustling destinations.

This flagship bakery will showcase the brand’s signature creations, centred around its handcrafted sourdough pizzas and its world-famous Crème Brûlée doughnut. Bringing together two of Bread Ahead’s most admired artisanal favourites, the Leicester Square bakery offers a focused, flavour-led menu designed to delight long-time followers and first-time visitors alike, with more treats to come as the site evolves.

Sourdough Pizza
Visitors can expect Bread Ahead’s classic sourdough pizzas, including the Margherita with basil, cheddar and mozzarella, pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage with ricotta, red onion and hot honey, and roasted aubergine with pesto and feta. Each pizza is baked to achieve that signature blistered crust and satisfyingly chewy base, with toppings that are generous, seasonal and oozing in all the right places. New seasonal flavour combinations will appear throughout the year, ensuring the menu remains as vibrant as its new surroundings.

At Leicester Square, the spotlight shines firmly on Bread Ahead’s hero: the Crème Brûlée doughnut. Loved globally and often described as a bucket-list bake, this signature doughnut has become a social media sensation, drawing visitors straight from the airport in search of that unmistakable crack of caramel. The theatre of torching each doughnut to order adds a flicker of fire and flourish to the experience, a perfect complement to the star-studded backdrop of the Odeon next door. Thanks to its rare street-level frontage at Market Place, the bakery can serve directly onto the Square, offering warm slices and freshly torched doughnuts exactly when they are most craved.
