New leadership at i2r signals ambitious plans for growth and innovation

Europe’s largest fully integrated aluminium foil tray manufacturer, i2r Packaging Solutions, has announced a new era of leadership with the appointment of a managing director to drive the company’s ambitious plans for growth, innovation and sustainability.

The move sees seasoned commercial leader, Dave Lucas, step into the role, bringing a dynamic approach shaped by decades of experience across the packaging and manufacturing sectors. With a proven track record in transforming businesses and a passion for customer-focused strategy, he is set to build on i2r’s strong market position and take the brand to new heights.

Previously group strategic sales director at Faerch, a global leader in sustainable food packaging solutions, Dave has gained extensive experience of the challenges and opportunities shaping the packaging industry. His career, which has spanned senior commercial and operational roles across international markets, combines strategic vision with a hands-on, results-driven approach.

“Aluminium is sometimes perceived as old-fashioned, but the reality is quite the opposite,” he explains. “It’s endlessly recyclable, enhances shelf presence and delivers the quality and sustainability today’s consumers demand.
