Dantex Group has further strengthened its strategic focus on digital print growth with the appointment of Christoph Michel as Global Commercial Director Digital.

Based at Dantex Germany in Bensheim, Christoph officially joined the business on 12th January and will initially focus on developing the company’s presence across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, while also supporting wider business development initiatives throughout the Dantex organisation.

Christoph brings more than 20 years of experience within the packaging and printing industries, combining technical expertise with leadership and business development across both digital packaging and commercial print technologies. His background spans folding carton converting and print, digital inkjet solutions for packaging and labels, toner-based commercial print technologies, and consumables including UV and water-based inkjet inks. Educated in Mechanical Engineering, Christoph also holds an MBA from TIAS School for Business and Society in the Netherlands.

Previously, Christoph held senior roles within the print technology sector, including responsibility for Heidelberg’s toner machinery business developed in collaboration with Ricoh.

Reporting directly to Dantex CEO Ben Danon, Christoph’s role combines regional commercial leadership with strategic support for the company’s ongoing global digital print development.

On joining Dantex, Christoph said: “Dantex is a highly dynamic and lean organisation that works collaboratively without country borders. The company is fully focused on labels and packaging and genuinely listens to its customers, with a clear growth strategy in digital print.

“Personally, I feel I’m in the perfect position, staying very close to customers to understand their requirements, while also supporting the organisation with my experience in digital print and commercial development.”

Commenting on the appointment, Ben Danon said: “Christoph’s appointment marks another important step in Dantex’s digital growth strategy. His blend of technical expertise and commercial insight will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence across mainland Europe and further strengthen our digital offering globally.

“Dantex has built its reputation on working closely with label and packaging businesses to develop solutions that reflect the real-world demands of a fast-changing market. Adding Christoph’s experience to our global team further strengthens our ability to support customers as digital print adoption accelerates.”
