Building on the 10-year legacy of the original PicoColour, which achieved extensive global sales, this latest evolution, retains the same footprint as its predecessor but is now equipped with today’s advanced technology. The result is a seamless and future-proof solution for label converters seeking high performance at an affordable entry point.
PicoColour is both compact and incredibly user-friendly. It offers customers a fully functional printing press with unique features from the flagship PicoJet, including an expanded colour gamut, superwhite, supertext and supertact. With the optional inline compact finishing, customers can anticipate an exceptional printing experience using this cutting-edge technology. PicoColour is guaranteed to deliver a professional-grade solution, allowing customers to scale their digital production confidently.
Built entirely in the UK to Zone 1 manufacturing standards, including to CE and UL, the new model achieves print speeds of 50 metres per minute while maintaining a compact footprint suited for any production environment. With over 80% of the supply chain coming from the UK, the high engineering and quality control standards, guarantee reliability, and an uncompromising attention to build quality.
By prioritising efficiency, service and cost-effectiveness, Dantex has optimised maintenance to reduce running costs, strengthening PicoColour’s reputation as a wise investment. Developed as part of the broader Pico range, it provides a unified technology platform, simplifying training and support for customers managing multiple presses while improving overall production workflow.
Dantex has carefully considered customer feedback, refining the design of PicoColour to print 254mm wide. It now has a fully integrated finishing system that includes shuttle-based die-cutting, lamination, matrix removal, and edge trimming, all while maintaining its footprint. From a sustainability perspective, this overall design reduces material waste and further enhances efficiency.
With its official return, the industry has already expressed excitement, receiving an incredibly positive response from across the world. Pre-sales have already begun and the first deliveries are expected in Q4 2025. Customers eager to see the PicoColour firsthand will have the opportunity to experience it at Labelexpo Barcelona in September, where Dantex will showcase the press at Booth #5E73 and take orders. It will then be available across our global demo centres for customer visits.
Ben Danon, CEO of Dantex Group, said: “The original PicoColour was a huge success, and we have seen continued demand, even in the second-hand market. We knew the time was right to bring it back, but this time it’s even better - modernised, efficient, built with the latest technology, and entirely made in the UK. Customers can feel reassured that Dantex’s quality standards and service are never compromised."
“The response thus far has been remarkable, demonstrating that customers have been eager for a high-performance, entry-level UV inkjet press. With the new PicoColour, we are providing exactly that."
