As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Bakkavor, the UK’s leading provider of fresh prepared food, has announced 74 new apprenticeship opportunities as part of its award-winning Apprenticeship Programme for 2025.  Successful applicants will join a structured programme available across key UK regions, including Lincolnshire, London and Scotland. Applications open on 10th February, closing in June for a September 2025 start.

Bakkavor’s programme develops talent through hands-on experience, nationally recognised qualifications and the opportunity to develop key skills in sectors such as manufacturing, finance and engineering. Amid a UK skills shortage, the Apprenticeship Programme supports career development and industry needs.

The 2025 intake will offer apprenticeships in a wide range of specialist areas, including 23 roles in engineering, 10 in manufacturing and 11 in finance, along with other critical fields such as supply chain management, processing and data analysis. These roles drive innovation and sustainability, ensuring UK competitiveness.

Apprentices take on real responsibility from day one, contributing to key business activities and projects while studying for a nationally recognised qualification and earning a salary. They also gain valuable life skills through community and charity initiatives.

Donna-Maria Lee, Chief People Officer at Bakkavor, said: “At Bakkavor, we recognise the vital role that skills like engineering, manufacturing, and business operations play in shaping the UK’s future workforce. These are the areas that power innovation, drive efficiency, and enable industries to stay competitive on a global stage.

“Our Apprenticeship Programme represents an important investment in people and their potential. By providing a combination of practical training, professional qualifications, and real-world experience, we are equipping individuals with the tools they need to build meaningful and lasting careers. We are proud to support the development of future talent, not just for Bakkavor, but for the wider economy.”
