The central theme of this event will be why brands should get ahead of proposed regulatory changes and growing consumer demand for action on this issue.
This comes as the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) is expected to announce new guidance about PFAS and food safety in the coming weeks.
The webinar will be formatted with an expert panel to discuss central themes, followed by a Q&A section for attendees.
Facilitating the event will be Rodney Jack, Editor at Food & Drink Technology.
Sitting on the expert panel will be ROCOL’s Lead Scientist, Jess Baker, who led the development of ROCOL’s PFAS Free FOODLUBE RANGE
Jess will be joined by ROCOL’s Senior Product Manager, Gareth Procter, and co-Founder of A Plastic Planet, Sian Sutherland.
The two key themes to be discussed during the webinar will be:
How food companies can future-proof their business and get ahead of upcoming regulatory changes;
Making a business-case for transitioning to PFAS free
This webinar follows ROCOL announcing it has removed PFAS chemicals from its entire FOODLUBE product range in March 2024.
Gareth Procter, Senior Product Manager at ROCOL, said, “As the food industry faces increasing pressure to reduce the use of products containing PFAS, it's more important than ever to stay ahead of evolving regulations and ensure compliance.
This webinar will provide essential insights into upcoming changes and offer practical solutions that will help businesses, including our customers, navigate this shift smoothly. At ROCOL, we are committed to helping our customers adapt to these changes while continuing to uphold the highest standards of safety and performance.”
