Hear from experts how to improve sustainability within the food and drink industry at the Sustainable Supply Chain Conference

On 25 June 2024, Logistics Manager Magazine will host the Sustainable Supply Chain Conference at 30 Euston Square, London for the third year running. This conference is a one-day face-to-face event where delegates can hear directly from industry-leading speakers about how supply chain sustainability can influence their bottom line. It is totally free to attend for food and drink industry professionals.

 

The conference’s vast array of speakers features experts from some of the leading companies in the food and drink space.

 

For example, Khanh Mach, a sustainability specialist at Quorn Foods, will discuss the importance of engaging all of a business’ stakeholders in its sustainability journey, ensuring that everyone in the supply chain understands the importance of improving sustainability and their role in that process.

 

Also speaking at the event is Nestlé UK and Ireland’s transport sustainability lead Joseph Hurst, who will share key learnings from Nestlé’s transfer to a fully diesel alternative HGV owned fleet, as well as the company’s sustainability roadmap for the future.

 

Furthermore, two major suppliers of produce and ingredients will be giving presentations. Abel & Cole’s  sustainability and ethics advisor Ed Ayton will provide insights into animal welfare as a consideration when organisations are deciding on their sustainability agenda, and The Supplant Company’s founder and CEO Tom Simmons will explain what the company is doing to address issues concerning health and the environment.

 

And from the world of alcoholic beverages, Fiona Humphries PIEMA, quality and sustainability compliance lead at Sipsmith will speak to delegates about the gin distillery’s ongoing search for solutions to managing Scope 3 emissions, focusing on the importance of partnerships and emissions measurement.
