Food safety leaders head to Amsterdam as AI, traceability and supply-chain risk reshape the industry

Senior food safety professionals will once again converge in Amsterdam this November for the Proactive Food Safety Conference Europe 2026, examining the operational, technological and regulatory pressures reshaping food safety across the industry.

Organised by Global Insight Conferences, the 6th Annual conference will bring together practitioners from organisations including Ferrero, McDonald’s, Nutreco, Mondelēz International, Mars Wrigley, Hälssen & Lyon, Barry Callebaut Group, Nestlé, Cargill and Grupo Bimbo.

The programme moves from the technology opportunity into the foundations, emerging threats and changing regulatory landscape. Sessions will examine practical AI applications, the digital infrastructure required for predictive quality management, end-to-end traceability, food safety culture, allergen controls, recalls and crisis management, microbiological risk, supply-chain resilience, food fraud and evolving regulation.

New formats for 2026 include a Red Card debate on recalls and crisis management, peer-to-peer lunchtime discussions held under Chatham House rules, and dedicated sessions on AI implementation and digital infrastructure.

Designed for food safety, quality, technical and regulatory professionals, the conference combines practitioner-led case studies, interactive discussion and more than two hours of dedicated networking.

The Proactive Food Safety Conference Europe 2026 takes place on 25 November
