Hot cross bun season at Bread Ahead is officially here (and they already flying off the shelves). Keeping to tradition, Bread Ahead bring out their hot cross buns the day after Shrove Tuesday each year - and 2026 is no exception. This year there’s more… Bread Ahead are rising to the occasion by launching a NEW, shorter-format Hot Cross Bun workshop - introducing the Hot Cross Bun Experience!

Hot Cross Bun Experience – New Workshop Format

They have just launched this brand-new shorter-form baking experience — perfect for those short on time but keen to master one signature bake.

Name: Hot Cross Bun Experience
Format: 90-minute hands-on workshop focused on one signature bake
Length: 1.5 hours
Price: £35pp

Format: 90 mins, hands‑on workshop where customers learn to make our Bread Ahead Hot Cross Buns from scratch. Our bakers will guide customers through mixing, shaping, and glazing buns, sharing  techniques so  customers can recreate at home. Customers will get to enjoy their freshly baked buns with tea and coffee at the end of the session and  also get to take their bakes home to share.
