Now's the time to stock up with delicious Rooster Rojo Tequila in celebration of International Margarita Day on 22nd February.

Tequila is riding high, and so this is an event for venues to embrace and capitalise on. By the end of 2023, according to IWSR, the category was set to overtake vodka and whiskey, becoming the most valuable category in the USA at $13.3- billion, recent figures showed.

Not all tequilas are equal in terms of quality, taste profile, and production methods. Rooster Rojo is popular amongst aficionados as, like all good tequilas, it is created using 100% Blue Weber Agave, which are exceptionally smooth and well-made.

Ansis Ancovs, Global Brand Ambassador for Rooster Rojo Tequila, said: "Those who love properly crafted tequila, admire Rooster Rojo. The brand is often the bartenders' tequila of choice not just for the liquids but for the easy-to-handle and appealing bottles which are great to work with. The Rooster Rojo Tequila and Mezcal range is versatile and includes the unique Smoked Pineapple Tequila. Rooster Rojo's different expressions lend themselves to a huge array of exciting contemporary and classic cocktails, including, of course, a host of different Margaritas."

On Margarita Day, a premium spirit is essential because in this cocktail, the spirit is the hero. It's wise to make it with an authentic, 100% Blue Agave Tequila like Rooster Rojo. This brand has six expressions in the collection, including a superb Mezcal that recently was awarded a coveted Masters Awards from The Spirits Business and described as "elegant, but still full of personality". The range comprises:

The brand's identity, the proud rooster, is a symbol of Mexico, underlining the authenticity of the product range. Rooster Rojo Tequila is produced in small batches at the very base of the Volćan de Tequila, a UNESCO-protected area in Mexico. Carefully crafted by the Amber Production Tequila specialists and blended with water that is filtered through Mexican silver, Rooster Rojo is the first Tequila to use this technique, resulting in an authentic and high-quality spirit.

For those new to the bar trade, we have some quick tips on making a classic Margarita. Critically, choosing an authentic tequila such as Rooster Rojo makes a big difference. A classic Margarita is a simple 3-2-1 formula: three parts tequila, two parts triple sec, and one part lime juice. This classic drink is so simple that there's nowhere for poor ingredients to hide. Pick Rooster Rojo's Reposado expression as this gives a smooth and delicious taste to Margaritas and rim the chilled glass with salt crystals.
