i2r bids farewell to retiring CEO

Leading aluminium tray manufacturer, i2r Packaging Solutions, has announced that Peter Reay, co-founder and long-serving CEO, is stepping down after 17 years in role.

Since co-founding the business in 2007, Peter has been instrumental in shaping i2r into a global leader in lightweight, high-performance aluminium packaging. Under his leadership, the company has pioneered sustainable innovations, expanded into key international markets and received multiple Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in both innovation and international trade.

Throughout his tenure, Peter has driven strategic growth, championed investments in automation and manufacturing efficiencies and built a high-performing team that will carry i2r’s success into the future. A strong advocate for training and development, he played a key role in fostering talent within the company and to honour his legacy, i2r has created a dedicated training suite in his name.

Speaking about his departure, Peter said: "Leading i2r has been an incredible journey and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved. I want to thank our team, customers and partners for their support over the years. I leave knowing the company is in great hands and well-positioned for the future.”
