Mike Boswell, from Plastribution, the UK’s leading polymer distributor, together with Jeremy Webster, of marketing communications firm, Marbles PR, plan to visit the highest point of every single English county non-stop from 15th - 20th June 2024.
Known as the English Highpointer Challenge 2024, the event takes its inspiration from the US-Coloradobased Highpointers Club, whose mission is to promote climbing to the highest point in each of the 50 states in the USA.
Along with logistical and driving support from the third member of the team - ‘man with a campervan’ John Oakley - the challenge involves walking day and night for 58 hours, covering 178km and travelling for 55 hours from county to county.
Starting and finishing on England’s highest mountain Scafell Pike, the pair are raising funds for Mountain Rescue and Air Ambulance charities.
