Moderato, France's leading alcohol-free wine brand has announced the launch of an unprecedented collaboration with Sigalas Rabaud. Together, they are unveiling a groundbreaking alcohol-free cuvée sweet wine, marking a world first for an alcohol-free wine of this kind and a new era for French sweet wines.

The innovative release brings together centuries of winemaking heritage from Sigalas Rabaud family and cutting-edge de-alcoholisation techniques from Moderato. The wine is crafted from (100%) Sémillon grapes grown in the South West of France, in terroirs close to the Garonne river, with the wine following the exact same meticulous standards inspired by traditional sweet winemaking, including the hand harvesting of noble rot affected berries.

Using Moderato’s intricate de-alcoholisation process, the wine is gently de-alcoholised using low temperature vacuum distillation, gently extracting the alcohol while preserving the wine’s complex aromas, balance and structure. The resulting product is a refined alcohol-free sweet wine that retains the signature richness and elegance of this renowned winemaking expertise.

The launch responds to growing consumer demand for high-quality alcohol-free wine options, with the partnership opening a new chapter for French wine expertise, one that embraces moderation without compromise on traditional wine making techniques and importantly, taste.

“This cuvée is a contemporary variation of the French art of living. It finds its place as an aperitif, during a business lunch, on a weekday or simply whenever one chooses lightness. A new way to appreciate this unique wine profile: spontaneous, yet always refined”, said Laure de Lambert Compeyrot, CEO and owner of Sigalas Rabaud.

“By committing to this project with Moderato, Sigalas Rabaud affirms its openness to societal changes while continuing to build on its heritage. The world-first collaboration also confirms Moderato as the leading global player in premium alcohol-free cuvées, all while supporting the great names of wine as consumption habits evolve.” said Moderato Co-Founder and CEO, Fabien Marchand-Cassagne.

Moderato X Sigalas Rabaud will be available to purchase across the UK at Wise Bartender from 18th May 2026 and at RSP £29.90.
